YoungBoy Never Broke Again dropped his first track of the new year “Toxic Punk” this week, and it’s quickly gaining heat.

The Baton Rouge MC contemplates drugs’ toxic effects on his life over a guitar-driven trap melody produced by DJ Trebble, Dmac and TnTXD.

“Fly sh–, bloody storm, say she love me/ Ugly boy, toxic punk, they don’t love me/ Foreign drugs, hallucinations all I see/ Acting crazy, get the police called on me,” YoungBoy raps on the chorus.

“Toxic Punk” is expected to be featured on YoungBoy’s (real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden) upcoming album Sincerely, Kentrell.

YoungBoy had quite the successful run with three No. 1 projects on the Billboard 200 within a span of 12 months — his AI YoungBoy 2 mixtape in October 2019, the 38 Baby 2 tape in April 2020 and his sophomore album Top in September.

The 21-year-old rapper also rang in the year by welcoming what is believed to be his seventh child; Yaya Mayweather, the 20-year-old daughter of former pro boxer Floyd Mayweather, gave birth to their first child together in January.
