Ty Dolla $ign might be hip-hop’s go-to featured artist, but for his Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, released Wednesday (Oct. 28), he assembled some A-list musical guests of his own.

Frequent collaborators Skrillex and Ant Clemons joined his band, consisting of Joe Cleveland on bass, Mike Moore on drums, Camper on keys and Brandon Chapman on guitar. The LA-based multi-instrumentalist switched between his mixing board, microphone and guitar while performing “Temptations,” featuring Kid Cudi; “Ego Death,” featuring Skrillex, Kanye West and FKA Twigs; and “Your Turn,” featuring Musiq Soulchild, Tish Hyman and 6LACK, from his star-studded third album Featuring Ty Dolla $ign that came out last week.

But something old came up during the set when Ty said, “I know you know the dance” and demonstrated the trending TikTok routine to “Something New,” his 2018 joint with Wiz Khalifa from the latter’s Rolling Papers 2 album.

The 38-year-old performer also dusted off his 2014 Beach House EP highlights “Or Nah,” featuring Khalifa and Mustard, and “Paranoid,” featuring B.o.B.

On Aug. 8, 2019, Ty made his debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk when he performed “Cinderella” as an emotional tribute to his late collaborator Mac Miller on the one-year anniversary of Miller’s iconic Tiny Desk.
