Travis Scott Reportedly Fined for Crowded McDonald’s Publicity Stunt

Travis Scott’s visit to a McDonald’s restaurant in Downey, California went down a treat with fans. The police, not so much.

Scott has reportedly been fined for the promotional stop, which gathered scores of fans but didn’t have the requisite permits.

Video from the stunt would suggest Scott’s fans weren’t too bothered with social-distancing, and many didn’t wear masks.

Scott and the burger chain apparently didn’t hold the necessary paperwork for a gathering of 200 or more, or approval to film.

The “Sicko Mode” artist was stung with a $200 fine, according to reports. His reps have yet to respond.

Scott stopped by the McDonald’s on Florence Avenue, the third oldest location in the chain, to hype his new “signature” meal: a quarter-pounder with cheese, bacon and lettuce with a medium order of fries, BBQ sauce to dip and a Sprite.

It’s apparently proven such a hit, the chain is said to be experiencing ingredient shortages nationwide.

As an extension to their partnership, Trav is touting a digital single “Franchise,” priced at only 69 cents, and he has dropped several waves in his capsule merch collection.

The final release of Cactus Jack for McDonald’s is available now for 48 hours at shop.travisscott.com.

Scott and McDonald’s are supporting charitable organizations during the month-long program.
