When an artist has a creative plan in place and the support of their peers, like Tierra Whack and her new album Whack World, there’s a chance people will notice and remember the name.
The album, which was released on May 30, is paired with a short film comprised of 15 chapters. Each chapter is a minute long since each song has the same run time. It makes for a perfect album to be broken down into her Instagram.
The music itself draws from various subgenres, including bossa nova, pop and melodic Hip Hop.

The Philadelphia artist first gained buzz at 15 for her 2010 freestyles in 2010 under the name Dizzle Dizz. She has moved on from that phase of her life and is developing her own sound as an artist.
