The Weeknd has been warned by Toronto rapper Top5 for getting behind Kendrick Lamar in his beef with Drake.

The “Blinding Lights” singer, who used to be close with Drizzy before appearing to fall out, attended K.Dot’s “Pop Out” concert after trading barbs with the 6 God earlier this year.

One person who has taken issue with The Weeknd going against his fellow canadian is rapper Top5, who is currently awaiting trial on murder charges.

On his Instagram Stories, the rapper wrote: “All these n-ggas are mad at one I dare you n-ggas to come to the 6ix #noflyzone.”

He then posted a picture of The Weeknd and said: “@theweeknd you started doing coke now your from Compton? Wait till my GGs see you.”

Earlier this year, Top5 criticized Drake by posting an image of the OVO logo on Instagram and saying: “These n-ggas ain’t do shit for street n-ggas in Toronto.”

He later said he was joking and that it was a set-up to see who was looking to snake Drizzy in his feud with Kendrick Lamar: “When you’re trolling just to see who’s eager to get at The Boy in the Dms.”

Drake replied with laughing emojis in the comments, followed by: “Send me the list 5’er.”

In 2022, Top5 was charged with murder in Toronto in relation to the 2021 killing of Hashim Omar Hashi.

Top5, whose real name is Hassan Abdibarik Ali, allegedly killed the man after he was mistaken for the person responsible for the shooting of his own brother, Said, who was also known as Foolish.

“Ali subsequently discussed killing people in retaliation for his brother’s death on social media posts, including one less than three days before the murder,” court filings stated.

“The courts also said that Top was not suspected of being the gunman, but a passenger in the same vehicle.

Top5 was originally arrested on accessory to murder charges in February 2021 but released on bail in late March.

One of the direct conditions of his bail was not to use Instagram, but he continued to promote his music on the app proclaiming his innocence around the murder.

“The only run I know is the treadmill,” he responded with a laugh in a clip. “I didn’t do shit. Save that for God.”
