After an impressive run at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “Blinding Lights,” The Weeknd appears hungry for more. On Tuesday (May 5), he released the visuals to the song’s remix featuring Chromatics.

Edited by the group with Jarred Hageman’s work on logo animation, the video begins in first-person narration with The Weeknd jumped by a group of men. After the altercation, he’s found in a daze, sitting at a table.

Handled by the electronic band, the song’s remix treatment receives a jolt of energy when singer Ruth Radelet injects herself into the chorus with her silky vocals. Once he heals up, The Weeknd goes for a drive before receiving an eerie voicemail for an ex-girlfriend yearning for his affection.

“Blinding Lights” spent two weeks at No. 1 before being dethroned by Drake’s “Toosie Slide.” The following week, The Weeknd returned to the summit by ousting his OVOXO counterpart from the top spot. Currently, “Blinding Lights” sits at No. 2.

Last night, The Weeknd made a cameo on TBS’ animated series American Dad. Along with executive producing the episode, he premiered his song, “I’m a Virgin,” which jokingly poked fun at himself.
