The holidays aren’t the easiest times for everyone, and The Kid LAROI cheers up his struggling family in the new music video for “TRAGIC,” which he dropped Monday.
The opening of the Steve Cannon-directed visual reveals the 17-year-old rapper’s mother is having a hard time making ends meet when the bills come and his little brother grows upset to find no presents under their Christmas tree. So the “WITHOUT YOU” star breaks into someone else’s home and steals a brand-new PlayStation 5, digital camera and more electronic goods à la the Grinch. He doesn’t dump it off Mount Crumpit, but instead transports the trash bag of presents to a pawn shop, where he collects a stack of cash as a gift to his tearful mom and presents the PS5 to his brother.
“I remember times when I ain’t have sh–/ No food in my crib, now I live lavish,” featured rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again sings alongside him for the chorus.
“TRAGIC,” which also features the hitmaking producer collective Internet Money, is from The Kid LAROI’s 2020 album F*CK LOVE (SAVAGE).
