Surprise! The version of “Trollz” released last week by Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj was actually the 11th version of the track by the dynamic duo. So on Tuesday (June 16), Minaj revealed the first-take of the song, which has one different verse and tweaked beat.
“Verse changes and beat changes… but now u guys get a glimpse of where my verse begins vs. how it ends up once my creative process is complete,” Minaj wrote in a tweet featuring a cartoon image of her and Tekashi riding a polar bear.
Eagle-eared listeners will notice that the second verse kicks off with a few lines from 6ix9ine before Minaj jumps in with a verse about the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and some highly sexualized new lines. “He’s tryna put it en mi culo/ Real fat gato/ When he eat it I tell him to squeeze it like a taco/ All my n—as out of town moving all that blanco/ I ain’t letting up on you b—hes say uncle/ Still the baddest b–ch, quarantine en mi casa/ Talking all that s–t, but you b—hes ain’t saying caca,” Nicki raps.
