Snoop Dogg has taken shots at his former record label boss Suge Knight in a fiery new track titled “Shut Yo Bitch Ass Up”.
Although the two have been publicly trading insults for some time, Snoop has now chosen to officially respond through music.
“Shut Yo Bitch Ass Up”, a track included on Snoop’s surprise album Iz It A Crime?, features the rap icon making direct and harsh accusations toward Suge.
In one verse, Snoop claims: “I can see why you mad / I bought everything you own / Now you in PC snitching on the phone.”
He continues with more aggressive lines: “But I can slap the taste out your +++++ mouth / Pull up on your n-gga, make you wanna reroute / And if he hit the main line, he gon’ see what we bout / Oh bitch ass n-gga, I’m a rich ass n-gga.”
As of now, Suge Knight has not issued a reply to the allegations made in Snoop’s lyrics.
However, the co-founder of Death Row Records recently criticized Snoop for his handling of the iconic label since acquiring it in 2022.
“Snoop, you said I’m mad because you bought Death Row? What’d you buy? Show me the paperwork. Show me what you own,” Suge said during an appearance on The Art of Dialogue.
He also pointed out the lack of success of Snoop’s Doggystyle label and questioned his leadership at Def Jam: “And you was running Def Jam. Did you do anything good for Def Jam? Absolutely not. Now you wanna start something that has nothing to do with you. You going backwards. You tryna create something that Suge Knight created. But instead of going big, you disappointing the world by making everything flops.”
