The Los Angeles Lakers won their 17th NBA championship on Sunday night (Oct. 11), when they beat the Miami Heat 106-93 in Game 6. The big win was bittersweet this year, as it comes less than a year since the death of Kobe Bryant.

To honor his favorite team and the player gone too soon, Snoop Dogg took to Instagram on Monday (Oct. 12) to share his new ink. In the clip, he shows the detailed tattoo designed and executed by artist Mister Cartoon. “As you see, tat is done,” Snoop explains. “KB on the bottom, Kobe Bryant, Larry O’Brien championship trophy with the Lakers going through the ball, gates of heaven up top and it don’t stop. Laker nation!”

In the caption, the rapper thanked the team’s players including Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Kyle Kuzma, and MVP LeBron James.

During the championship game, West Coast icon Snoop threw a watch party, decked out in yellow and purple chucks for the team’s colors.

“Job well done,” he told James via IG after the win. See here.
