Chicago rapper G Herbo, music promoter Antonio “T-Glo” Strong and other associates have been charged in a fraud scheme that alleges the group used stolen identities and cards to charge millions of dollars’ worth of luxury services over a four-year period.
According to The Chicago Tribune, the 14-count charges for events dated back to 2016 include aggravated identity theft and aiding and abetting a larger fraud scheme, plus wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, among others. The indictment was filed in the U.S. District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts, in September.
The group allegedly used the money to buy private jets, limousine rides, exotic car rentals, a vacation in Jamaica and two “designer” puppies.
Rapper Joseph “Joe Rodeo” Williams and co-conspirators Steven Hayes Jr., Demario Sorrells and Terrence Bender were also charged.
Earlier this week, 25-year-old G Herbo was named to Forbes’ 30 under 30 list.
