Quando Rondo has been granted bond in his drug and gang case, and will not be subject to house arrest.

The Savannah, Georgia rapper was arrested on June 16 over allegations he worked with up to 18 other individuals to engage in drug deals between October 2022 and June 2023.

Rondo was reportedly charged with “2 counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, 1 count of participating in criminal activity affiliated with a street gang, and 1 count of illegal use of a cell phone to facilitate a drug deal,” all of which are felonies.

Per WJCL 22 News, Chatham County Superior Court Judge Tammy Stokes granted Rondo’s release on Monday (June 26) and said the rapper met the requirements for bail at $100,000.

“The court finds it significant that defendant surrendered himself for arrest the day after he learned of the warrant for his arrest,” she stated in the order.

Rondo (real name Tyquian Terrel Bowman) was asked to surrender his passport to the clerk of court, have no contact with his co-defendants, not carry or possess a firearm, not use or possess illegal drugs, waive extradition, violate no laws, and appear at all court hearings.

The Never Broke Again signee’s release comes after a contentious bond hearing unfolded last week, in which Jonah Pine, Quando’s attorney, attempted to argue that his client is a “local hero” that should be released. The prosecution, however, argued he’s a violent threat to the community.

“Is he a threat to the community? Yes, he is,” District Attorney Chris Stofle countered. “The cause that we have shown that [Quando] made phone calls to other 60s Rollin gang members and said they are 1100 gang members up here — 1100 is the opposition –and said bring your guns here. His words, your honor. That is a danger in the community.”

He continued: “When you have people coming to a movie theater bringing guns…that’s a danger to the community. That is the language that’s in the indictment.”

Rondo’s attorney also submitted a letter of support from his label, Atlantic Records to help justify his claim.

“He’s got the support of one of the greatest record labels in this country. The same record label as Led Zepplin and Ray Charles, that’s his label,” Pine told the court. “They’ve provided a letter to us, it’s very heartfelt and talks about his career.”

Following his release, Rondo took to Instagram to announce that he’d be dropping a new single called “Feel This Way” on Tuesday (June 27), but as of writing the song has not yet been released.
