Post Malone will take Travis Scott’s headline slot for Day N Vegas’ Saturday night (Nov. 13) program.

Posty will close out the second of three nights on the Frank Stage, organizers announced with a post on social media.

The late switch was made when Scott scrapped his scheduled performance, in the wake the tragic scenes that unfolded during his set over the weekend at Houston’s Astroworld festival.

“Travis Scott will no longer be performing at Day N Vegas,” reads a separate message from organizers.

Following the disaster that unfolded in Texas, during which at least eight concert-goers died and 300 were injured, Day N Vegas producers assuaged ticket-holders concerns for this coming weekend’s party.

“The security and safety of all attending Day N Vegas has been and is always top priority in our festival planning,” a separate statement reads. “We continue to work hand in hand with law enforcement, medical personnel and public safety agencies on our protocols for the weekend.”

Malone’s addition will be seen as a win-win, one which fills a critical position in the day’s play with an A-lister, while giving Posty a big audience as he embarks on the next phase of his music career.

The singer and rapper is ready his return. Just last week, Malone dropped a new collaborative track with The Weeknd, “One Right Now,” which ventures into synthwave territory, a fresh turn for the “Rockstar” singer.

Meanwhile, the Astroworld situation has taken a legal turn. Scott, ScoreMore Shows, which helped produce the festival in Houston’s NRG Park, along with Live Nation, have been named in some 14 lawsuits in connection to the fatal fest, including one from an injured concertgoer who described Astroworld as a “predictable and preventable tragedy” and accused the “Sicko Mode” MC of having “actively encouraged and fomented dangerous behaviors.”

Day N Vegas is produced by Goldenvoice and will take place Nov. 12-14 at Sin City’s Festival Grounds.
