If you wander down to your local Costco to do some holiday shopping over the next week don’t be surprised if you see Post Malone loading up his cart with those super-cheap roasted chickens and enough paper towels to clean up a small oil spill. “There’s a Costco maybe 10 minutes from here and I never knew the beauty of Costco and one day I woke up and had an epiphany and said, ‘Let’s got o Costco,'” said Posty on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night about the megastore near his Utah home.
After securing his membership card with the absolute “worst photo ever,” Malone admitted that unlike so many dawdlers in the aisles, he’s not there for the free food samples. In fact, he prefers to get his loot and get out, and if we’re to sample, he thinks we should just be allowed to grab stuff off the shelves.
Getting around to more serious business, Kimmel asked Post to explain the viral pic from August of him getting a tattoo at his super-jacked dentist’s office. “He’s the biggest, buffest dentist I’ve ever seen in my entire life, it’s mind-blowing,” Malone said. “He has the softest hands.”
So, who gets inked while having their teeth cleaned? And why? “Two birds with one stone,” PM joked. “We talked about it and we were just like, you know, ‘I’m gonna be sitting around for hours doing nothing anyways, why not get two bad things out of the way at the same time?'”
Asked what his favorite Christmas song is, Malone pondered it and said it was the “one where they talk about chestnuts,” otherwise known as “The Christmas Song.” For the record, he’s had a chestnut and “they taste terrible,” so he’s thinking of remixing the classic into “KitKat’s Over an Open Fire.”
Kimmel kicked off the segment by revealing to Malone that his dad is a huge fan, posting an image of a text from James Kimmel decked out in a Posty shirt and hoisting a Bud Light in honor of the rapper’s favorite brew. “Heard my ‘bud’ Post is on the show tomorrow. Say hi for me! Just listening to Circles,” Jimmy’s dad texted him. “What a legend, yes sir, he’s a badass,” Post said, noting that his dad is a big fan of Kimmel’s as well.
And though they sold out instantly, Post also bragged about how comfortable his latest pink and black collaboration with Crocs is and plugged his New Year’s Eve show, which he said will feature some unnamed “rock and roll legends.”
