Post Malone is bringing all his rowdy friends along for his Super Bowl LV commercial.
The Bud Light pitchman unites with a bunch of fan-favorite characters in an epic ad that will air during Sunday’s (Feb. 7) big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In the Bud Light Legends ad previewed on Tuesday (Feb. 2), Malone chills with comedian Cedric the Entertainer, the Bud Knight, the “I Love You, Man” man, Oracle Susan and many more in the one-minute spot, in which they all join forces to help a delivery driver save a crashed Bud Light truck to make sure the suds make it to a convenience store.
“Back again with Bud Light for Super Bowl LV, honored to share the screen with such legends,” Malone said in a statement about the ad, in which the characters celebrate some of the funniest moments in Bud Light ads of yore.
“I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since some of my most memorable moments with my friends at Bud Light,” added Cedric in a statement. “I am thrilled to be featured in this year’s Super Bowl ad and loved reuniting with fellow Bud Light Legends to bring some fun to the game.”
Talking up the commercial on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday night, Posty said the ad just makes perfect sense because, well, “I love football and I also love beer.” In the ad, Malone has a single, iconic line, “Hey sing it real man of genius singer,” he says as he walks by with a case of beer.
