After earning his first No. 1 album with Hall of Fame, the grind doesn’t stop for Polo G. The Chicago native returned on Wednesday (July 14) with another visual from the project to the contemplative deep cut “Toxic.”

Ryan Lynch for Counterpoint 2.0 helmed directing duties throughout the intoxicating clip which was shot across Miami. Polo G mobs with his crew and shows off his riches whether that’s his new mansion, icy chains, glistening watches or exotic sports cars.

At the end of his opening verse, Polo admits the 2019 death of fellow Chicago rapper Juice WRLD pushed him away from ever taking pills again.

“Legends never die, you the reason I stopped poppin’ Percs,” he raps.

During the video’s premiere on YouTube, Playboi Carti actually hopped in the comments and gave the visual his stamp of approval.

“Real Music,” Carti wrote.

As for what’s next, rumors began to fly that Polo G could be connecting with G Herbo for a joint project in the near future. Herbo downplayed the rumors during an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, but is definitely open to the idea.

“It’s really hearsay right now,” he said. “We ain’t even mapped nothing out. I just think it got potential to happen and it would be something that’s crazy. It’s really just us putting the time together and going and getting with it. It’s definitely something the culture needs, Chicago definitely needs it, so it’s a matter of us sitting down and working it and mapping it out.”
