As Playboi Carti’s Christmas Day release Whole Lotta Red arrives at No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts — including the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums — 12 of its songs debut on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart dated Jan. 9, more than doubling his career total.

Of the new dozen recruits, “Slay3r” leads the pack, with a No. 25 entrance. The track unsurprisingly also registers the most streams of all Red cuts, with 8.1 million U.S. streams in the week ending Dec. 31, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Here’s a full rundown of Playboi Carti’s week on the chart:
No. 25, “Slay3r”
No. 30, “Go2DaMoon,” featuring Kanye West
No. 32, “Vamp Anthem”
No. 33, “New N3on”
No. 37, “Metamorphosis,” featuring Kid Cudi

No. 44, “Place”

No. 46, “Stop Breathing”

Playboi Carti, whose real name is Jordan Carter, shares co-writing credit on all the aforementioned songs, and their collective strength triggers his No. 1 debut on the week’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songwriters chart.

As for the parent album, Red makes a strong debut with its No. 1 start on the all-genre Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, where it secures Playboi Carti’s first leader on both lists. Red opens with 100,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Dec. 31.

Streaming provides the lion’s share of that starting sum, with 90,000 units, which equals 126.43 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs. Thanks to that haul, Red also claims the honor of the week’s most streamed album.

The activity surrounding Red and its songs prompt Playboi Carti’s No. 2 re-entry on the Billboard Artist 100, a weekly ranking of artist popularity through music consumption metrics of album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction.
