Nicki Minaj shared a snippet of her forthcoming album Queen via Instagram on Friday (June 8).
Wearing a flower filter on her head, the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap poses for the camera as her music plays in the background.
“Alice, the goon palace,” she’s heard rapping.”You mad, doggie? You mad, doggie?”
Minaj captioned the photo with “Cam’Ron voice.”
Queen was originally expected to arrive on June 15 but Minaj pushed the date back to August 10.
The Cam’ron reference stems from an interview the Damon Dash and the Dipset rapper did with Bill O’Reilly on the O’Reilly Factor back in 2003.
Nicki Minaj took to Instagram on Thursday (June 7) to share the cover art for Queen, her forthcoming fourth studio album and what she believes is her most stellar body of material.
The caption read, “#Queen 8|10|18 [shot] by the legendary #MertAndMarcus. My greatest work to date. Thank you for your patience & love. Pre-Order next week.”
The photo, shot by London-based fashion photographers Mert and Marcus, features Minaj scantily clad in beaded underwear, pasties and headgear, and sitting on a tree branch.
Minaj is one of several celebrities Mert and Marcus have worked with over the years. Other clients include Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Fergie and Taylor Swift.
Queen is expected to arrive on August 10, nearly two months after its original release date of June 15.
