Police reportedly found multiple guns at A$AP Rocky’s Los Angeles home while searching his property for evidence related to a November 2021 shooting. According to TMZ, cops will run ballistic tests on the weapons to determine if Rocky pulled the trigger, while also running background checks on the firearms to work out where they came from.
As previously reported, police used a battering ram to get inside his home and walked away with a box of potential evidence, although it was initially unclear what they had gathered.
A$AP Rocky was detained at Los Angeles International Airport on April 20 after being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. At the time, the rapper was returning from Barbados with Rihanna after flying into LAX on a private jet.
The arrest is related to a shooting that took place in Hollywood on November 6, 2021. The victim claims Rocky approached him with a handgun and shot him three to four times, with one of the bullets grazing his left hand.
An LAPD news release read, “On November 6, 2021, around 10:15 p.m., an argument between two acquaintances occurred in the area of Selma Avenue and Argyle Avenue, in the Hollywood area. The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim.
“The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought his medical treatment. Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot.”
Shortly after his arrest, A$AP Rocky posted $550,000 bail according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website. He’s expected to make his first appearance in court on August 17.
