Megan Thee Stallion announced the return of her Tina Snow alter ego on Sunday, and on Monday (June 7), she revealed the title of her new single: “Thot Shit.”
The rapper said the song will drop on Friday (June 11) in a post featuring the cover of the single, which shows a trio of women in towering white patent leather heels standing above a shirtless, passed-out man lying on the floor near a tray of room service food, a box of “Tina O’s” cereal and a magazine featuring a pictorial of the rapper.
After announcing in late April that she was taking a temporary musical hiatus to recharge, the “Savage” rapper returned Sunday with a sci-fi video clip teasing the return of Snow. “TINA SNOW IS BACK,” Meg tweeted along with the futuristic snippet, which references the name of her alter-ego and the title of her 2018 EP; she also changed her Twitter handle to Snow.
With a slow-rolling beat playing in the background, the 20-second animated visual opened with the Grammy winner wearing a nurse-like uniform and typing on a computer in a dark laboratory while two alternate versions of her floated in tanks just behind. One figure was wrapped in a newspaper-printed bodysuit that winks at the rapper’s Good News album cover, while the other rocks a white bodysuit with cutout sides. A computer screen shows that the rapper’s health and confidence stats are stable, and that Tina Snow is 99% loaded.
On April 22, Meg, 26, teased a similar clip on social media with a computerized message for her Hotties. “Megan Thee Stallion is recharging! Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next,” the message read.
