Megan Thee Stallion dialed in to Jimmy Fallon’s “At Home” series of The Tonight Show on Monday night (April 20), and dropped a good-news bombshell. She’s working on a new album.

The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper is stuck in self-quarantine in Los Angeles, but she’s using her time wisely.

“I’ve been recording. That’s the best thing about quarantine,” she told Fallon. “I would have been working on it anyway, but what else am I going to be doing right now. I’ve just been writing and we set up a little studio in here. So, we’re going to have new music for when we can go back outside.”

Megan also walked Jimmy through her music-making process (she kicks everyone out of the room when she starts writing), hitting the books (she’s studying healthcare administration), and her #SavageChallenge, which has caught fire on TikTok. “I just saw Courtney Cox did it, Jessica Alba, freakin’ Janet Jackson,” she enthused. “I win, Janet Jackson follows me on Instagram. Everyone else can go away.”

Next up, she’s jumping into the #AllInChallenge, a fan experience which raises cash for good causes.

The Texas native’s album would be the followup to her nine-track set Suga which dropped last month, her first release after an ugly legal battle kicked with her label 1501 Certified Entertainment.
