After becoming a favorite target of conservative politicians and commentators for her explicit lyrics and visuals, Megan Thee Stallion flipped the switch on her blistering new single “Thot Shit” and its music video. But when Ben Shapiro — the exact kind of person that “Thot Shit” addresses — had something to say about it, Megan once more made sure she was the one who had the last word.
On Twitter, Shapiro shared his segment of The Ben Shapiro Show on Monday, where he rips apart the Grammy winner’s new music for six minutes straight. “See, I used to believe women deserved respect because of all the incredible things they do and accomplish,” he began sarcastically before musing about his wife as “a model of a woman who deserves respect.” “But I have rethought all of that because of a new Megan Thee Stallion video brilliantly titled ‘Thot Sh–.'”
He said viewers initially put the song and video on his radar because they believed Shapiro to be a target, going on to ridicule her moniker and joke about being “converted to Megan Thee Stallion’s brilliant world view” upon watching her video along with 8.5 million other YouTube viewers. Dissecting Megan’s music has become practice to Shapiro, who criticized her and Cardi B’s Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping “WAP” collaboration in August with a line-by-line recitation of the censored lyrics, which was hilariously remixed numerous times. “Wet a– p-word, p-word is female genitalia,” The Daily Wire founder emphatically read. “And it gets significantly, significantly more vulgar, like a lot more vulgar.”
But Shapiro doesn’t let anything vulgar slide on his show. He introduced a censored snippet of the “Thot Shit” video starring the “genius” and “icon” herself — as Shapiro facetiously calls her — with a brain-teaser of descriptors about how she has such a hold on society, jokingly extolling “oh ye gods that we should have twerking among us.” He later analyzed her rhyme scheme and went through a precise count of how many times she said each swear word, which was naturally bleeped out in the conservative political commentator’s segment.
Meg contributed her two cents on Shapiro’s rant by resharing his tweet about the show with a GIF from the music video in question, where she and her fellow Hotties dressed as nurses prepare to perform an NSFW surgery on the senator in the clip.
