Thepandemic has mostly had two effects on our waistlines: either you’ve put on the COVID-15 while sitting on the couch for 10 months bingeing every Netflix show ever, or you’ve been working out in the basement like a maniac and you’re super ripped. Megan Thee Stallion seems to be headed for the second category thanks to her “Hottie Bootcamp.”
The “Body” rapper flaunted the week one results of her intense new workout routine on Monday (Jan. 25) with a series of before/after Instagram pics in which she showed off her new muscle mass in revealing snaps. “#HOTTIEBOOTCAMP WEEK 1 complete we got a lil results or whateverrrrr swipe to see the progress,” she captioned the photos. Those pics followed a video from last week in which Meg revealed that she threw out all the junk food in her cupboards and fridge.
“I like to snack and I like to eat whatever I want to eat,” she said in the video in which she promised to donate all the untouched food to a charity. “And I just feel like lately, the things that I’ve been eating have been not so good for my body.”
While Megan hasn’t said what results she’s after, she explained, “This is about me just getting healthier in general and me seeing how I can transform my body in the healthiest way possible.” She also stressed she’s not looking to lose weight, but just get healthier.
In another clip of her new regimen, she goes on a grocery shopping trip with her trainer, Tim, who picks out healthy snacks, seasonings, fruits and vegetables to help make her a “Hot Girl Smoothie.” The pair then hit the beach for some exercise — Meg’s first workout in a long, long time — which includes squats, running in place, lunges, weight work and shadowboxing, all while in booty shorts, of course. The series also includes a “Snack Off,” in which she and Tim have a contest to see who can make the healthiest meal, followed by another intense boxing workout.
The rapper, who recently unveiled the official dance video for “Body,” promised to keep updating fans on her progress as her bootcamp heats up.
