Drake finally dropped Scorpion — the official follow-up to 2017’s More Life playlist — on Friday (June 29). The double LP features 25 tracks and guest vocals from JAY-Z, Ty Dolla $ign, Static Major and the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
One of the most interesting revelations comes on the last track on the B Side, “March 14,” when Drake admits he is the father of Sophie Brussaux’s son Adonis.
“I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe/That shit is in stone, sealed and signed/She not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine,” he spits.
“Single father, I hate when I hear it/I used to challenge my parents on every album/Now, I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent/Always promised a family unit/I wanted it to be different because I’ve been through it/But this is the harsh truth now.”
The Toronto superstar also addresses his son on the track “Emotionless” when he raps, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid.”
Brussaux insisted Drake was the father of her child twice last May.
After Pusha T accused him of being a deadbeat dad on the scorching diss track “The Story Of Adidon,” more details started to emerge surrounding the French vixen and her relationship with the 6 God.
Now, it’s official — Drake IS the father.
