LOS ANGELES, CA – Mac Miller has reportedly died. According to TMZ, he was found Friday (September 7) around noon local time at his San Fernando Valley home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although details surrounding his death are currently scarce, initial reports suggest he overdosed.
Miller has had a rough year. He was arrested for a DUI earlier this summer following his breakup with pop singer Ariana Grande. The two had been dating for nearly two years.
Grande suggested his substance abuse was the reason for their split in a Twitter post back in May.
“I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course),” she wrote. “But shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his shit together is a very major problem.”
The 26-year-old was seemingly on an upward trajectory. He recently released a new album called SWIMMING and was planning to go on tour this fall.
This is a developing story.
