Lil Wayne recently got immortalized in wax at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee – but unfortunately, they did not understand the assignment.

The figure was unveiled over the weekend and immediately went viral for all the wrong reasons, as it didn’t really capture Weezy’s essence quite right. Taking to Twitter on Monday (October 23), the legendary rapper gave a “thanks but no thanks” for the failed attempt.

“Sorry wax museum but dat shit ain’t me!” he wrote. “You tried tho and I appreciate the effort.”

Lil Wayne is gearing up to release Welcome 2 ColleGrove alongside 2 Chainz – the sequel to their 2016 album, ColleGrove.

On Friday (October 20), the Southern rap heavyweights unveiled the release date and cover art for their long-awaited second collaborative album, which is called Welcome 2 ColleGrove.

The artwork depicts Weezy’s face with slight elements of Tity Boy, including his beard. Its similar to the cover of ColleGrove, which reversed roles by picturing 2 Chainz adorned with some of Wayne’s face tattoos.

According to a press release, Welcome 2 ColleGrove will be released on November 17 via Def Jam.

In a sample of what fans can expect from the formidable duo, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz also released a hard-hitting new single called “Presha.”

On the Bangladesh-produced record, Tity Boi takes things back to the essence of why people gravitated toward his music with playful bars that are meant to be played in rotation at celebratory events.

“More refills on me, you know we lit, lit/ They gon’ run this back just like a pick-six/ I done fell in love with a thick bitch/ I done fell in love with a rich bitch,” he spits.

Lil Tunechi takes the baton and doesn’t disappoint as he uses his uncanny ability to morph his delivery to the cadence of each record that he appears on.

“I’m on that pressure, she on that bass/ I’m on that treble, I’m on her level/ She say her brother, he got them birds/ We ruffle his feathers/ Watch what you tell us, pressure cooker,” he raps over the whistle-laced track.

While further details remain scarce, guest appearances from at least two big names — Usher and Benny The Butcher — have been teased.
