Lil Nas X has a new song up his fringed suede sleeve.
The crooner took to social media on Friday (July 10) to lead his fans into the weekend with a new song tease. The tune, “Call Me By Your Name,” has a seductively melodic beat, “Call me what you want / Call me what you need / Call me out by your name / I’ll be on my way.
LNX later shared a clip of a conversation with Rihanna over video chat, in which she compliments him on an unnamed track. “I heard a clip of your new song the other day,” RiRi says in the clip, presumably referring to “Call Me By Your Name.”
“Banging…I’m not just saying that, honest to God, I’m not just saying that,” she continues. “I’m so glad because you came so strong in the beginning. That gets tricky, like, where do you go next? But you’re killing it, I’m happy for you.”
“RIHANNA HEARD MY SNIPPET LETS F–KING GOOOO!” Lil Nas X captioned the tweet.
Lil Nas X is also one of the faces of RiRi’s new Fenty Skin line, launching Friday (July 31). See a few of the campaign pics below.
“Call Me By Your Name” will follow the “Old Town Road” singer’s recent remix of his song “Rodeo” featuring Nas. However, the track would be his first brand new offering since his 2019 debut 7EP.
