Lil Durk looks to have been involved in a nasty car accident and documented the aftermath on social media.

In an Instagram post on Saturday (December 18), the Chicago rap star shared a photo of a black SUV on its side in the middle of a road with pieces of the vehicle scattered on the ground nearby.

It’s unclear when or where the accident happened or who was involved, but Durk reflected on the fragility of life in his caption. In another photo in the same slideshow, he can be seen stepping into a similar-looking SUV.

“Live life Anyday can be your last SMURK,” he wrote along with an unamused face emoji.

In any case, many of Durk’s peers lent their support in his comments section, including G Herbo, Swizz Beatz, CyHi The Prynce, 2Rare and Lil Tjay.

“Reason y u gotta [walk] every chance u get!” wrote Tjay, who had his own brush with death earlier this year after being shot multiple times during a robbery attempt in New Jersey.

This is far from the first time Lil Durk has found himself in harm’s way. The Chi-Town native was the target of a home invasion in July 2021 that descended into a shootout.

According to TMZ, multiple people broke into Durk’s home in the Chateau Elan neighborhood of Braselton — about an hour outside of Atlanta — and exchanged gunfire with The Voice rapper and his now ex-girlfriend India Royale, who was also home at the time.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed Durk and Royale were victims of a home invasion and aggravated assault. Fortunately, neither of them were injured during the shootout.

On the music side, Lil Durk and his Only The Family collective delivered their latest compilation album Loyal Bros 2 last week. The 23-track project boasted guest appearances from Future, Kodak Black, Trippie Redd, Icewear Vezzo and the late King Von.
