Miami, FL – Kodak Black’s incarceration reportedly got violent on Tuesday night (October 29). The controversial rapper was involved in a prison fight that sent one guard to the hospital, according to Miami’s WPLG Local 10 News and the Associated Press.

The brawl took place at Miami’s Federal Detention Center, where Kodak is currently imprisoned after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges. The fight reportedly started between two inmates, but it is unknown if Kodak was one of these two men or got involved once the skirmish began.

Injuries suffered by the prison guard haven’t been revealed at this time. But the injuries were severe enough to require surgery at a local hospital.

Kodak, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, is in the Federal Detention Center waiting to be sentenced in his weapons case. Sentencing is scheduled to take place on November 13.

The Atlantic Records artist was arrested on weapons charges prior to a scheduled performance at Rolling Loud Miami in May. Later that month, a judge denied him bond after deeming him to be “a danger to the community.”

Kodak is facing up to eight years in prison following his guilty plea. He’s also dealing with drug and weapons charges in New York as well as a sexual assault case in South Carolina.
