Kodak Black and YoungBoy Never Broke Again have experienced both conflict and reconciliation over time. However, tensions seem to have resurfaced following Kodak’s recent criticism of YoungBoy’s upcoming project, Make America Slime Again.
Although YoungBoy was expected to release the full album on Friday, July 4, he instead shared six new songs, postponing the complete project until later in the month.
“I just heard little bro’s album — it’s straight trash. I don’t even like that,” Kodak Black stated on social media about YoungBoy’s latest tracks. “And I like YoungBoy music, but that s—t a— though.”
Attempts have been made to contact YoungBoy for a response.
In 2023, the artists appeared to have reconciled, seen bonding over their mutual appreciation for gumbo.
Their relationship has been complicated, with past incidents including YoungBoy dating Kodak’s former girlfriend and releasing the diss track “Letter 2 Kodak.”
YoungBoy Never Broke Again now plans to release Make America Slime Again on July 25, following a three-week delay. Currently, ten of the album’s thirty songs are available for streaming.
Kodak Black, meanwhile, has not released an album in 2025 so far, though he did collaborate with former NFL player Antonio “AB” Brown on the track “I LUV ALL THE OPPS” in late May.
