Kid Cudi is now the proud recipient of a Hot Ones award for ‘Best Reactions’ for the popular show’s latest season.
The Cleveland native appeared in an October 2022 episode in season 19, and had some extremely animated reactions to the hot sauces he was tasting as he fielded questions from the show’s host, Sean Evans. Apparently this was a moment he’d been waiting years for, which he noted in his acceptance speech of sorts for his new accolade.
“Yooo! I want to say thank you so, so much for this award. I’ve been a fan of Hot Ones for a minute. You know, you guys been seeing me on Twitter talking about it. Been planning this for a couple years,” Cudi said. “And you know, I just wanted it to be memorable, just wanted to have some funny moments, wanted to make you guys laugh.
“So here we are! I guess I did the job,” he continued. “Sean, holla at me! We gotta do round two next. Switch up them sauces. Alright? Give me a little test. Peace and love.”

Kid Cudi recently revealed he’s planning to retire from music, with his next album set to be his last.
“Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more,” he said on Twitter in November. “Wont be next year. Keep u posted. This is for all my fans that have been ridin w me for so long. This will be all new music. The songs ive teased ill prolly put out as singles here and there to hold u over.”
What he’ll focus on afterward is yet to be determined, but he did hint during his Hot Ones appearance that he might switch up his career completely and become a kindergarten teacher.
“I just don’t know if I wanna just do music, drop albums for too much longer,” Cudi said. “I’m kinda nearing the end on all things Kid Cudi, I think. I’m really curious to see what else I can do. I was thinking about this, and this was like a wacky idea I had years ago, but it would be cool to one day be a kindergarten teacher.”
He added: “Just do that for a couple of years when I’m like 50. Just like, for 10 years I was a kindergarten teacher, you know? And I just infect the youth with that freshness, like get ’em young. And then those kids would just sprinkle the freshness to the world, and I’ll just be like, ‘Yes! Yes!’”
