Kendrick Lamar’s hit diss track “Not Like Us” has now spent a full year on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a major milestone in music history. ++++++ It’s officially the first rap song ever to remain on the chart for 52 consecutive weeks, a feat unmatched by any other Hip Hop track.
Despite being released last May, “Not Like Us” still holds strong at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song continues to rack up streaming and radio play, showing no signs of slowing down.

Kendrick’s chart dominance doesn’t end there. His collaboration with SZA, titled “Luther”, has also made waves, spending 13 straight weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. “Luther” has now joined an exclusive group of just 15 songs to reach that benchmark and has become the longest-running No. 1 Hip Hop song in chart history.
Lamar’s success has only grown since the beginning of his public rivalry with Drake. Recently, he made history by delivering the highest-grossing concert by a Black artist, with his Grand National Tour stop at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on April 26. That show, co-headlined by SZA, brought in a staggering $11.822 million in one night.
This achievement overtook a previous record held by The Weeknd, who grossed $9.8 million at his 2022 performance at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Earlier in the same tour, Kendrick also surpassed Eminem’s record for the highest-grossing rap concert, which Eminem set during his 2019 Australian tour. According to Touring Data, Kendrick’s opening night in Minneapolis drew more than 47,000 fans, generating over $9.1 million, with an average ticket price of $192.70. This made it the first rap show ever to gross more than $9 million in a single evening.
Looking forward, Kendrick is slated to headline Australia’s Spilt Milk festival this December. After taking a break in 2024, the festival will return with dates in Ballarat/Wadawurrung, Perth/Whadjuk, Canberra/Ngunnawal, and Gold Coast/Kombumerri. Joining Lamar will be fellow TDE artists Doechii and ScHoolboy Q, adding more star power to the lineup.
