Kanye West has been accused of sending “graphic” text messages to a Jewish employee in a lawsuit demanding $150 million from the rapper.
According to The Mirror U.S., a former employee of West’s Yeezy company is accusing him of “religious discrimination, sexual harassment, and whistleblower retaliation.”
The individual, who is remaining anonymous and identified as Jane Doe, plans to file the lawsuit in the upcoming weeks, which will include text messages from Kanye described as “extremely graphic and grotesque.”
It is also claimed that the rapper used antisemitic language in the messages, which are said to be “sexually explicit in nature.”
A source told the publication: “The antisemitism in these direct messages is worse than anything he has ever said on public platforms or in previous cases.”
The former employee asserts that after sharing the messages with higher-ups, they were “terminated” from their position at Yeezy.
The plaintiff’s lawyer added in a statement: “Our client was significantly disrespected, verbally antagonized, and subjected to a hostile work environment. When she presented text messages from Mr. West to her superiors to show how she was being treated, she was quickly fired after almost a year of dedicated work.
“It’s time for Mr. West to be held accountable for his actions toward his female employees in front of a jury. This will be a major discrimination lawsuit, supported by text messages, and it is definitely forthcoming.”
The former employee claims that Kanye’s behavior caused her significant distress, forcing her to take anxiety medication.
She also states that she has tried to settle the matter privately, but Ye is “ignoring the situation.”
The plaintiff is seeking $150 million in damages. Kanye has not responded to the allegations.
These are the latest accusations against the G.O.O.D. Music mogul for inappropriate workplace conduct.
Just last month, a former project manager for Yeezy accused West of showing him naked pictures of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian after allegedly having sex with his current wife Bianca Censori in a nearby hotel room.
He was also accused of making antisemitic rants about Kardashian and his bank accounts. West has yet to publicly respond to that suit either.
