CNN has reported that Kanye West is considering appearing in court during Diddy’s sex trafficking trial to show support for the music mogul. West has allegedly communicated with Diddy’s team about his potential attendance, which may happen once the defense begins presenting its case, expected within the coming week.
The outlet also notes that West has developed a closer relationship with Diddy’s son, King Combs, and they have collaborated musically. Since the allegations of sexual assault and trafficking against Diddy emerged in 2023, West has remained his most prominent supporter.
West’s latest remarks followed testimony from Kid Cudi, who previously signed with West’s GOOD Music label. Cudi accused Diddy of forcibly entering his home, injuring his dog, and burning his Porsche. In response, West posted on social media: “I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff.” He continued: “We need to not be locked in white systems. Praying for Puff and his family.”
In February, West questioned the intentions behind Cassie’s accusations against Diddy, writing: “Did Cassie extort Puff?” He also defended Diddy after surveillance footage of him assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway surfaced. West referred to the act as “true love,” stating: “When [a] man truly loves a [woman] he may express it in rage. I empathize with both sides,” and added, “You have to truly be in love to get to the point of risking everything.”
Following this, West began selling replicas of the hoodie Cassie wore during the incident, claiming he earned over $30,000, which drew severe criticism from online users who labeled the action “evil.”
