Juice WRLD’s girlfriend Ally Lotti remembered the late rapper Tuesday (Dec. 8), on the one-year anniversary of his death, by sharing letters he wrote early last year.
Lotti shared two letters Juice wrote to both her and his fans with XXL. She says he snuck them into her wallet while he was touring with Nicki Minaj from February to March 2019, only for her to find them last December while she was paying for the outfit she wore to his funeral. He penned them from the notepad sheets of the Hyatt Regency in Düsseldorf, Germany, during The Nicki Wrld Tour in Europe.
The first letter was addressed to Lotti. “You are: my sanity, my safe haven, my first and last true love, my BFF, my home… You are my everything,” it read.
Meanwhile, the second letter was meant for Lotti to read to his fans. Since she “sheltered him from his pain,” she could “help provide a sense of shelter to Juice’s fans,” according to her XXL exclusive. “I’ve been broken 4 so long without repair,” the letter reads. “You fixed me permanently… So I cannot let you out my [sight]. You are my [umbrella] when it’s raining, you keep me dry from my own tears and the tears of the world.”
Juice WRLD (real name Jarad Anthony Higgins) died Dec. 8, 2019 from an accidental overdose at age 21.
Benny Blanco honored what would have been his 22nd birthday on Dec. 2 by releasing their collaborative single “Real Sh–,” while Juice’s 17-year-old protégé The Kid LAROI released a cover of Kim Petras’ “Remind Me of You” featuring the late rapper’s vocals on Dec. 7.
Lotti wrote on Twitter that sharing these letters to the public meant “sharing a big piece of myself,” one that she now keeps in her Bible.
