Joe Budden unintentionally disclosed his podcast’s Patreon income via a post on Instagram Stories. He appeared to be boasting about his video view counts, but failed to properly obscure financial details in the image.

The image, though somewhat unclear, indicates that the podcast generated just over $900,000 from Patreon alone.

This figure excludes any earnings from YouTube or advertising deals.

In the past, Budden claimed his podcasting venture was highly profitable.

In a previous year, the Hip Hop figure stated he had earned around $4 million through podcasting over a span of ten years, which breaks down to approximately $400,000 annually.

The claim arose during a discussion initiated by guest Doe Boy, who asked: “How much you think you done made off this since you started podcasting?”

As his co-hosts laughed at the bold question, Budden, formerly of Slaughterhouse, answered: “Altogether in the whole 10 years? About $4 mil.”

His co-hosts responded with laughter, casting doubt on the figure. Budden himself joined in, showing he might not have been entirely serious.

“Yeah, I think about $4 mil,” he added with a grin. “Early on we were doing it for free. Then we hit a little lick, Spotify. Then n-ggas left, the building crumbled a little bit. My friends came to save the day. Probably about three and a half to four a half mil.”

Doe Boy responded skeptically: “That’s bap.”

Although others in the room accused him of exaggeration, the “Pump It Up” artist insisted he was telling the truth and claimed his gross revenue before taxes was actually closer to $7 million.

He concluded with advice for aspiring podcasters: “Years of hard work, y’all can do it to. It’s not unachievable. This is not unimaginable. If you work hard and keep your head down to the finish line and just focus on your content.”

Even with a substantial annual income, Budden’s figures remain well below those earned by streamers like Kai Cenat, who combine Hip Hop discussions with gaming.
