Jeezy recently shared that he feels “amazing” now that his divorce from Jeannie Mai has concluded.

Their separation had been marked by contentious legal battles, but the rapper seems to be enjoying a more peaceful chapter.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club, when asked about life after marriage, he stated: “I tell myself this every day, ‘Man, this is amazing.’”

He continued: “I don’t got no enemies… no issues, I don’t want no enemies or issues, I just want peace, joy, and freedom. I love my freedom. Freedom is everything. Especially when you’re talking about art, culture– you’re talking your mind… This is the season of me. I’m putting myself first at all costs.”

However, just a month earlier, he faced potential jail time over accusations that he violated the terms of their divorce.

In Touch Weekly reported that in April, Jeezy was in court where the judge ruled he had “willfully failed” to transfer the title of a 2021 Range Rover to Jeannie Mai.

The judge also rejected Jeezy’s effort to recover legal fees from Mai and, according to the publication, “warned that future failure to comply with the court’s order may result in sanctions, which he said could be in the form of incarceration.”

Their divorce, finalized the previous summer, was fraught with serious disputes, including claims of domestic abuse and disagreements over access to their daughter.

Several months after the finalization, Mai accused Jeezy of failing to follow through on key aspects of their settlement—such as not paying for child-related expenses, not depositing $500,000 into an account for their daughter, failing to transfer car titles, and neglecting four months of rent payments.

Jeezy responded by saying he struggled to verify the lease documents Mai’s team provided, alleging she aimed to “embarrass, humiliate and disparage” him through media leaks. He also blamed the DMV for delays in title transfers and said one of the vehicles had suffered damage from an “act of god.”

In response, he demanded Mai cover the $20,000 in legal costs he incurred “defending himself”—the main focus of the recent court hearing, as most other disagreements had reportedly been resolved.

His request for legal fees was ultimately denied.
