Gucci Mane is being accused of domestic violence and theft by his ex-girlfriend Mac Bre-Z.
Mac, who had worked with Gucci and was once signed to him, made these accusations in a post on Instagram on Monday (November 4). She also claimed that she wasn’t properly credited for her contributions to his music.
“You loved collaborating with me on your albums & mixtapes. But I would love to get paid for my writing credits,” she wrote alongside a photo of them from the past.
“They say you changed for the better. So why haven’t you done the right thing & just compensate me for everything I’m entitled to? Everybody eating off these records but me.”
She added: “I never did a tell-all & exposed any stories about your personal life over the 6 years we were together. When you punched me in the face, I could’ve snitched & had you arrested while you were on bond for the murder case of Jeezy’s artist.”
“I never bad-mouthed you in the media or tried to assassinate your character.”
Mac Bre-Z later hinted that she might pursue legal action against Gucci Mane: “Enough is Enough. Times Up. I’m coming for what’s rightfully mine. Respectfully.”
Gucci Mane has not yet commented on the allegations made by his former girlfriend.
The violent incident Mac Bre-Z referenced occurred during a live show in 2005 and was captured on video. In the footage, the two can be seen arguing, and Gucci is seen attempting to remove Mac from the stage before hitting her in the face.
Mac Bre-Z discussed the incident in a 2022 interview with The Progress Report, stating: “First of all, a lot of people made light of the situation. I would never understand that, ’cause if somebody punched your mama, your sister, your cousin, you wouldn’t have this same energy.”
She also appeared to confirm that it was an isolated event: “That was the first and last time he put his hands on me.”
Since 2017, Gucci Mane has been married to Keyshia Ka’Oir. Their wedding was funded by BET for their TV show The Mane Event, which showcased both the preparations and the ceremony, which took place in Miami.
The couple now has two children.
