G-Eazy continues to use his downtime during the quarantine to explore the music of other artists.
On Saturday (May 16), the Oakland rapper shared another pair of unique covers, this time taking on Bob Dylan’s 1963 classic “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” and The xx’s 2009 song “VCR.” Listen to his dreamy renditions of the tracks below.
This isn’t the first time G-Eazy has shared covers. Last month, the rapper surprised fans with an ethereal spin of Radiohead’s “Creep,” featuring Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson, and a moody take on The Beatles’ 1968 song “I’m So Tired.”
G-Eazy has also spent his time helping others during the coronavirus pandemic. In March, the Bay Area artist and his Endless Summer Fund teamed up with Larkin Street Youth Services to provide meals to local at-risk youth in San Francisco.
“The Bay is my home and I want to help and support my community however I can, which is why I am partnering with Larkin Street Youth Services to provide meals to kids during this crisis,” he said. “We are all in this together and I hope others will join me in supporting our communities however they can.”
The Endless Summer Fund, G-Eazy’s charitable branch, is a nonprofit that aims to end youth homelessness.
