Reclusive singer Frank Ocean broke his silence on the upcoming Nov. 3 election on Tuesday (Sept. 29) with an urgent call for his fans to vote. The plea in an Instagram story came on the same night as the first presidential debate between Pres. Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, which was marked by Trump’s constant interruptions of Biden and moderator Chris Wallace and the president’s refusal to condemn white supremacy.
“Debates are on. It all feels fake,” Ocean wrote. “The problem’s that it’s not. Donald is president and might not leave the White House even if he loses the race so some say. Pls vote. Watching him dragged out will be way more entertaining that these debates.” If you’re not already registered to vote, Ocean provided an opportunity on his Blonded.co site.
Ocean joins a raft of other stars who are encouraging fans to register to vote and to make sure they are ready to weigh in on the election, including Card B, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and many more.
