Drake has achieved two major milestones in one day: breaking a long-standing chart record that was once held by The Beatles and hitting a remarkable RIAA achievement.

As reported by Chart Data, the Canadian rapper has become the artist with the most weeks spent on the Billboard 200 chart, surpassing The Beatles. Drake’s albums have accumulated over 3,348 weeks on the chart, a streak that started back in 2009 with So Far Gone.

Previously, The Beatles held the record with 3,311 weeks, while Taylor Swift has also overtaken the legendary band with 3,313 weeks. The only other hip-hop artist in the top 10 is Eminem, with 2,423 weeks.

Additionally, on April 8, it was announced that Drake is now the first artist to surpass 500 million RIAA-certified units across albums, singles, and features.

This means that Drake has extended his lead as the highest-certified artist in RIAA history, a title he has held since 2022 when he surpassed Eminem. His historic RIAA achievements include six diamond singles—“God’s Plan,” “One Dance,” “Hotline Bling,” “Work” with Rihanna, “Sicko Mode” with Travis Scott, and “Life Is Good” with Future—which is the most by any rapper (excluding Post Malone).

Drake has also racked up more than seven songs approaching 10 million sales, along with multiple multi-platinum albums, including Take Care (8x platinum), Views (8x platinum), Scorpion (7x platinum), Nothing Was the Same (6x platinum), and More Life (4x platinum).

Currently, Drake is also experiencing a resurgence on the Billboard Hot 100, following a period of slowed commercial success after his rap battle with Kendrick Lamar last year.

His latest single, “Nokia,” has climbed to number three on this week’s chart, after rising four spots, boosted by the release of its music video. This track, which debuted at number 10 before briefly falling out of the top 10, marks Drake’s highest-charting song in two years, since “First Person Shooter,” his collaboration with J. Cole that also triggered his feud with Kendrick.

“Nokia” is expected to continue climbing the Hot 100 next week, although it faces tough competition from his rival Kendrick Lamar’s latest hit, “Luther,” featuring SZA, which has dominated the chart for seven weeks.
