There’s a chance Drake could be the one financing a boxing match between Soulja Boy and DDG.

The dispute between the rappers has escalated recently, largely due to allegations against DDG involving violence toward his former girlfriend Halle Bailey. This conflict has led to talk of settling the matter through a boxing match.

During a livestream featuring both rappers, Adin Ross brought up the idea that Drake might be willing to fund the fight.

The Kick streamer stated: “Guys, actually knowing Drake, Drake would actually probably pay to make it happen. Dude, I’m not even joking. … Let me cook. No, I’m not gonna call Drake about that on stream. That’s putting him on the spot. I’m not gonna do that.”

So far, Drake hasn’t made any public statements about potentially getting involved with the proposed fight.

The tension started when Soulja Boy accused DDG of assaulting Halle Bailey, leading him to challenge DDG publicly.

Soulja Boy said: “You know how to fight, right? You a boxer, right? Let’s get in the fucking ring bitch ass n-gga. I’ll beat your bitch ass. Putting your hands on the Little Mermaid, n-gga… Fuck you and your whole family.”

In response, DDG claimed: “Soulja Boy on another heroin rant. We gotta get that man clean. That heroin is fucking him up. Soulja Boy you can’t fight, so stop tryna act like you wanna fight me, n-gga. You just talking sh*t. You was supposed to fight Chris Brown 5 years ago, n-gga still ain’t do it.”

DDG has fought once before, in 2021, against TikToker Nate Wyatt.

He won that match in a five-round unanimous decision.

He was also set to face PnB Rock the following year, but the now-deceased rapper withdrew shortly before the fight.

DDG had also suggested a bout with rapper Toosii after a personal dispute, but the match never came together.

Blueface, Benzino, and KSI are among other rappers who have participated in celebrity boxing.
