Drake has decided not to return to Australia and New Zealand, officially cancelling his previously delayed tour dates in those countries.

Earlier this year, he performed in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Additional concerts were planned in Auckland, as well as return dates in Brisbane and Sydney. However, the tour came to an unexpected halt when he departed for Canada, attributing the change to scheduling conflicts.

Live Nation has confirmed the cancellations. The promoter stated: “Live Nation Australia regrets to inform you that the previously postponed Drake shows in Australia and New Zealand have now been officially cancelled. Despite extensive efforts to find a solution, rescheduling within the necessary timeframe was not possible. Drake remains committed to returning and performing these shows when his schedule permits.

“All purchases for the cancelled shows will receive a refund. Please check your email for information regarding the refund process.”

Drake has not released a personal statement about this yet, as he is currently touring Europe for the first time in six years. This tour has also experienced disruptions.

One of his sold-out performances in Manchester, England, set for Monday, July 28, was cancelled the day before. He blamed travel complications, surprising fans who had already seen him perform twice in the city.

The concert is now planned for August 5. The venue released a statement saying: “Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow’s performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled.” They also said: “The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it’s set to be an unforgettable night.”

Original tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled date.

Drake’s tour in the UK has been notable, including a moment in Birmingham where he paid tribute to local rock icon Ozzy Osborne.
