OVO season has returned. With just mere hours’ notice, Drake took to social media on Thursday (June 16) to send a seismic earthquake through the Hip Hop landscape by announcing his Honestly, Nevermind album, which arrives on Friday (June 17).
The LP will serve as his seventh studio album and his post revealed the project’s chrome cover art, but no features or tracklist just yet.
“7th studio album ‘HONESTLY, NEVERMIND’ out at midnight,” he calmly wrote to Instagram.
Prior to the album announcement, OVO Sound revealed plans for a Table For One radio show premiering on SiriusXM’s Sound42 channel at 11 p.m. ET serving as a Thursday night appetizer leading into the project’s arrival.

Drake has been laying low on the music front for most of 2022. The surprise release isn’t typical of the Toronto deity’s usually calculated strategy, but rumors of a mixtape arriving to kick off the summer did surface earlier this week.
Drizzy’s last album, Certified Lover Boy, arrived in September 2021, when the LP broke several streaming records. CLB sold 613,000 total album-equivalent units in the first week, which marked the largest-debut sales week of all projects released in 2021.
