Another one! DJ Khaled is embracing his name to the fullest extent on his latest LP.

He dropped his 12th album Khaled Khaled on Friday (April 30) via We the Best Music, Epic and Roc Nation. His real name, Khaled Khaled, translates from Arabic to “immortal.”

“I always wanted to make an album called Khaled Khaled,” the famed record producer told Billboard in an interview. It was an idea that geminated long before he released his first LP in 2006, Listennn… the Album. “But I knew it had to come at a certain time. I figured I had to get past 10 albums. … But now, it’s time for the new chapter, the evolving of Khaled Khaled.”

The album serves as the follow-up to 2019’s Father of Asahd, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and features his first Grammy-winning song “Higher,” featuring John Legend and Nipsey Hussle.

H.E.R., Lil Baby and Bryson Tiller appear on multiple tracks from the album, which also boasts Khaled collab veterans Lil Wayne, Migos, Justin Bieber and many more. He praised the collaborations he has with both “WAP” rappers, Cardi B (“Big Paper”) and Megan Thee Stallion (“I Did It,” featuring Post Malone, Lil Baby and DaBaby), the latter of which he hyped up to Billboard as an “anthem” that reminds him of his 2010 hit “All I Do is Win.” He also unites East Coast hip-hop heavyweights Jay-Z and Nas with James Fauntleroy and Harmonies by the Hive on the track “Sorry Not Sorry.”

Khaled Khaled also includes his pair of top 10 Drake collaborations that were released in tandem last July: “Popstar,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Greece,” which reached No. 8.
