Kendrick Lamar is being accused of mocking Drake with his bold fashion choice at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
During the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night (February 2), Kendrick sported a simple denim jacket and jeans, paired with a matching cap, black shoes, and a diamond Jesus piece chain.
Yet, the double denim look, commonly called a Canadian tuxedo, is believed by fans to be a pointed jab at his rival, who is famously from Canada.
“Man, this is hilarious. Kendrick’s trolling is next level,” one person posted on X (formerly Twitter).
“Kendrick wins both Song of the Year and Record of the Year, after a rap feud victory, a week before performing at the Super Bowl… presented by Diana Ross… while wearing a Canadian tuxedo. I don’t know if we’ll ever see anything like this again,” another commented.
Fellow rapper JPEGMAFIA also found Kendrick’s apparent fashion-related dig amusing, tweeting: “LMFAO Kendrick is hilarious. He accepted his award for the greatest diss track ever in a CANADIAN TUXEDO.”
The Canadian Tux.

Kendrick Lamar’s outfit was front and center at the Grammys as he took the stage twice to accept both Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Not Like Us.”
The song, an anti-Drake anthem, also won Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video, sweeping all five of its nominations.
It was a groundbreaking night for Kendrick, with “Not Like Us” becoming the first diss song to win a Grammy, and Kendrick himself becoming only the second rapper to win both Song of the Year and Record of the Year, following Childish Gambino.
While accepting the Song of the Year award, Lamar thanked some of the West Coast rappers who influenced him early on, including Glasses Malone, JasonMartin (formerly known as Problem), and his Black Hippies bandmates Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q, and Ab-Soul.
“Nothing more powerful than rap music, I don’t care what it is,” he said. “We are the culture, and it will always be here and live forever. And to the young artists, like my man Punch says, respect the artform. I appreciate y’all, I love y’all.”
He also dedicated his Record of the Year win to his late aunt, who passed away the day before, and to Los Angeles, which had been devastated by wildfires in January.
To further rub salt into Drake’s wounds, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and others were seen dancing and rapping along to “Not Like Us” as Kendrick’s victories were announced.
Kendrick is set to make even more history next week when he becomes the first rapper to headline the Super Bowl halftime show alone during this Sunday’s (February 9) game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
