DaBaby jokingly calls himself a “canceled ass” following his controversial Rolling Loud set in a new freestyle over BIA’s “Whole Lotta Money” on Tuesday (Aug. 24).

In an accompanying video, DaBaby whips out the tissues and seems to wipe away tears while rapping, “Yeah, whole lotta n—as with Glocks and pistols/ Whole lotta hunnids in knots, they Crip blue/ N—as think I’m somewhere cryin’ with tissues/ Certified, internet or not, I’ll get with you.”

The nearly two-minute video shows snippets of his performance at Sunday’s Hot97 Summer Jam, his first music festival since his controversial July 25 performance at Rolling Loud Miami — which cost him seven live festival and concert gigs afterward — when he made homophobic and misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS. The 25-year-old rapper later issued a formal apology — which has since been removed from his Instagram account — “to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made,” while emphasizing his need for education.

The embattled MC also boasts about how he “can afford to quit doin’ this sh– right now” after his success in the last three years, and even compares himself to headline-making track star Sha’Carri Richardson, when he raps, “2019, I went bought a nine-acre estate/ 2020, made $22 million/ N—as gotta be kiddin’ (What you do?)/ I ran laps around all of these n—as, just like Sha’Carri Richardson/ The whole world watchin’, they wanna see how he gon’ figure it.”

On Saturday, he’s slated to perform his second festival — Boosie Badazz’s Boosie Bash — at Southern University’s A.W. Mumford Stadium, which also features Lil Baby, Coi Leray, Mooski, Bobby Shmurda, Jacquees, Morray and many more on the bill.

The original “Whole Lotta Money” song by BIA has gained a whole lotta traction over the last month, thanks to a new remix with Nicki Minaj, which earned the 30-year-old rapper her first top 10 hit on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
