“Twerk” rises to No. 1 on the U.S. list in its 12th week on the tally.
After 12 weeks on Billboard’s Top Triller U.S. chart, City Girls’ “Twerk,” featuring Cardi B, hits No. 1 for the first time, shooting 19-1 on the list dated Oct. 24.
The Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts highlight the biggest songs on Triller based on a formula blending the amount of views of videos containing a respective songs, the level of engagement with those videos and the raw total of videos uploaded featuring each song, according to Triller. Data for the charts is represented on a Friday-Thursday tracking week, with the latest period running Oct. 9-15.
“Twerk” marks City Girls’ first Top Triller U.S. No. 1 in three entries. The group previously peaked at No. 7 with “Act Up” last month.
The song is also Cardi B’s first Top Triller U.S. ruler, her previous best a No. 3 peak with “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, last month.
Concurrently, “Twerk” also spends its first week at No. 1 on the Top Triller Global tally.
The rise of “Twerk” to No. 1 is aided chiefly by an Oct. 8 upload by Charli D’Amelio, whose post has 5.3 million views to date, according to Triller.
“Twerk,” which peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2019, earned 1.4 million U.S. streams in the Oct. 9-15 tracking week, up 2%, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
