For those who don’t want to see Cardi B on top of her game, the “Up” rapper would like a word.
Cardi posted a video of herself, without any makeup or filters, on Tuesday morning (Feb. 9) to express how comfortable and happy she feels in her own skin and how haters can no longer put her down just because they don’t want to see her succeed.
“This is my face after wakin up 20 minutes ago ,no filter , hair not brushed , lip chap all that .I never been afraid to show my real self .When YOU ON TOP the miserable and the ugly love to screenshot pictures while you in motion then criticize your face,” she wrote on her socials. “I’m confident in my own skin .You bi—es need to ask ya self if ya confidence in ya self enought that ya gotta try to bring bi—es down for a hobby that’s winning and in their 20s.”
Bree Runway, Chloe Bailey of Chloe x Halle, Cardi’s sister Hennessy Carolina and more praised her words. “WHAT YOU BEEN BADDDD!!! BEAUTIFUL FACE !BEAUTIFUL LIFE !! BEAUTIFUL BODY !!” her younger sister commented. “…AND THATS WHY THEY STAY MAD!!! I’ll smack anyone in real life tho all im saying.”
The 28-year-old rapper posted another video of herself on Instagram listening to “good music to distract me from my mind” and lip-syncing to “Buenos Aires” by Nathy Peluso. Cardi recently danced to the Barcelona-based, Argentine-born hip-hop/R&B artist’s latest single “Delito,” which is also from her debut album Calambre.
Her video PSA also addressed how her latest record “Up” has been racking up quite the numbers, including more than 27 million YouTube views for the official music video.
