Kal Penn had the strangest dream. On Wednesday (Nov. 3), the Harold & Kumar star and former Obama administration official shared a vivid vision he had on a recent flight to Los Angeles in which he imagined that Cardi B — who was on the same plane — “officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands.”
The third member of that power trio is Penn’s partner of 11 years, Josh; Penn recently came out and revealed that the couple are engaged. Well, Penn is in luck, because, as Cardi wrote in her response, “First, why didn’t you say hi! Second, I’m licensed to do that sooo…… let me know.”
Penn loved the idea and explained in a follow-up tweet that he just didn’t want to bug her. “You’re the best,” he wrote. “Was gonna say hi but didn’t want to be disrespectful (your do not disturb light was on). But holy s–t let’s do it! We’re down if you’re down!” No worries, Cardi said, responding, “I’m down I’ll get my suit.”
Penn, 44, is talking about his long-term relationship for the first time while promoting his new tell-all memoir, You Can’t Be Serious. In an interview with People magazine he said he would prefer a big Indian wedding, but Josh is thinking more “quick 20-minute thing with our families and that’s it.” If the Cardi-fied nuptials go down, it wouldn’t be the first gay wedding the rapper has officiated. Last month, Cardi and Raven-Symoné helped a couple get married on an episode of her Cardi Tries Facebook Messenger video series.
